Shirley Edwards Obituary

Shirley Ann Edwards, 82, of Van Wert passed away at 6:45 p.m., Tuesday at Vancrest of Van Wert.

She was born on April 14, 1937, in Chattanooga, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harold L. and Evelyn (Fox) Huffman. On April 27, 1957, she married Ronald Orval Edwards who preceded her in death on November 30, 2000.

Family survivors include her children, Sonna J. (Raymond) Seibert of Van Wert and Steven (Shelly) Edwards of Van Wert; two brothers, Norbert F. Huffman of St. Marys and Douglas (Linda) Huffman of Celina; two grandchildren, Kisha (Chris) Blue and Coy Seibert; two great grandchildren, Jayci and Zaide Blue; Shirley’s fiancé, Robert Moody of Ohio City; Bob’s children, Tim (Marcia) Moody, Julie (Tracey) Strous, and Gwyn (Pacossa) Moody; plus several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Rockford High School and a member of the Ohio City United Methodist Church. She had worked at Huffy Manufacturing in Celina and operated her own shop - Shiramics - in Ohio City over ten years. She had bowled for many years playing on Tuesday morning and Wednesday night leagues. She also enjoyed watching softball and her grandchildren’s other activities.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Bevington officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.

Preferred memorials are to the Ohio City United Methodist Church
