Sharleen B. Bricker

Sharleen (Wiseman) Bricker, 81, passed away on March 7, 2022, at the Homestead in Van Wert surrounded by her family.

Sharleen was born on August 13, 1940, in Van Wert the daughter of the late Foster and Evaleen  (Courtney) Wiseman. Sharleen married her high school sweetheart Devon Bricker on Mrach 30, 1958, and together they shared 54 years of marriage until his passing on Feb. 11, 2013.

Family survivors include her four children, David Bricker of Van Wert, Lewis (Lisa) Bricker of Destin, Florida, Mark (Holly) Bricker of Brookville, Ohio, and Sydnee (Scott) Juneac of Huntsville, Alabama; eight grandchildren, Josh, Jennifer Bricker, Ashley Saam, Zac, Lee, Luke Bricker and Seth and Eric Juneac; seven great grandchildren, Kiara, Allison, Lindy, Abagail, Madison, Olivia and Charlette; and two great great grandchildren, Keeton and Kynslee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sharleen was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Wiseman; sister, Martha Jo Giessler; and a grandson-in-law, Jamie Saam.

Sharleen was a 1958 graduate of Van Wert High School and attended Wright State University. She was a retired businesswoman owning and operating Sharleen’s Hallmark in downtown Van Wert until 1992. She was a member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Business Association.

A Celebration of Sharleen’s Life will be held on August 13, 2022, 2 - 4 p.m. at the home of her son David at 8886 Van Wert-Willshire Road, Van Wert.
