Rebecca J Lusby

Rebecca Joan Lusby, 38 of Grover Hill, passed away at 5:42 p.m., Tuesday at the Marion General Hospital after a six-month battle with blastoma cancer.

She was born on November 21, 1980, in Paulding, Ohio, the daughter of Edythe (Craft) Schmidt of Grover Hill and Charles William (Lisa) Decker of Buckeye Lake, Ohio. She was married to Ronald Lusby who also survives in Ashley, Ohio.

Other family survivors include her son, Cory J. Pinson with the United States Marine Corp in San Diego, California; twelve brothers and sisters, Nicholas (Rayven) Decker of Grover Hill, James (April) Grams of Van Wert, Joshua Schmidt of Grover Hill, Charles (Brittany) Decker, Jr., of Newark, Ohio, Jessica (Ed Hoffman) Decker of Antwerp, Ohio, Jerrid (Amber) Decker of Fredericktown, Ohio, Misty (Manny) Oliveras of Dresden, Triston Decker of California, Noah Decker of Dresden, Melissa (Jayce) Adams of Dresden, of Michael Decker of Dresden, and Leslie Decker of Zanesville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Rebecca in death was a sister, Brittiney Brown.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Middle Creek United Methodist Church with Pastor Eileen Kochensparger officiating. There will be calling hours from 3 p.m. until time of service at the Church.

Preferred memorials are for Rebecca’s funeral expenses.
