Phyllis A. (Wiseman) Turner, 90, of Van Wert passed away at 9:08 a.m., Sunday at Willow Ridge in Bluffton, Ohio.
She was born on April 16, 1929, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Ralph Edwin and Leota May (Hurst) Wiseman. On August 25, 1946, she married Donald E. Turner who also preceded her in death on July 30, 2012.
Phyllis and Don had five children, David M. (Claudia) Turner of Winona Lake, Indiana, Marlene S. (David) Jerome of Grove City, Ohio, Rosemary (John) Good of Bluffton, Ohio, Lyle (Miriam) Turner of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, Glenn E. Turner, deceased and his wife Chrisanne Turner who survives in Van Wert. Phyllis is also survived by her brother, James F. (Margaret) Wiseman of Van Wert;, a sister-in-law, Donna (Glenn, deceased) Helm; fifteen grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Phyllis and Don operated the Turner Music Store in Van Wert from 1947 to 1987. She was also a long-time member of the Gideons International Auxiliary.
Services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, December 13, 2019, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Dick Potter and Kathy Brauen officiating. Interment will follow at Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Calling hours are 10 a.m., Friday until time of service.
