Glen “Lefty” Mosier, 94, passed away Saturday morning at his home near Ohio City.
He was born on June 10, 1927, in Van Wert County the son of the late Clay and Ada (Marsh) Mosier. On December 28, 1957, he married the former Ellen Jones who survives.
Other family members include his children, Clay (Sherry) Mosier of Ohio City and Laura (Jerry) Moran of Memphis, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Lauren Jay, Lindsey Waldock, Connor Mosier, Ryan Moran and Dr. Caitlin Moran; and three great grandchildren, Cooper, Zetta and Leda Jay.
Besides his parents, Lefty was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Robert Mosier.
Lefty graduated in 1945 from Ohio City-Liberty High School and served in the U.S. Navy in 1946. He was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Ohio City United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 346 of Ohio City, the Masonic Lodge of Ohio, Van Wert Elks Lodge, and the National Rifle Association.
His ashes will be interred at a later date at the Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery.
