William Lee Cunningham, Sr., 94, of rural Convoy passed away Sunday morning, August 31, 2025, at Bluebird Retirement Community in Marysville, Ohio.

He was born on January 13, 1931, in Kendallville, Indiana the son of the late Arthur and Clara (Egolf) Cunningham. On August 18, 1950, he married the former Kathryn Barr who also preceded him in death on February 1, 2007.

Family survivors include two sons, William Lee (Sherry) Cunningham Jr., of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Terry D. (Cheryl) Cunningham, Sr., of Van Wert; four daughters, Cynthia (Gary) Bowyer of Convoy, Sharon (Ted) Scaer of Convoy, Jennifer (Jim) Trump of Cincinnati, and Linda S. (Jay) Watts of Marysville; 20 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; and 23 great great grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Ashley Cunningham; a brother, Robert M. Cunningham; and three sisters, Wiladean Strait, Grace V. Hoppas, Colorado, and Janette Runk.

William was a truck driver for the Kroger Company for 40 years and he had attended the Shiloh Friends Church in Marysville.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2025, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jacob J. Watts officiating. Mr. Cunningham's ashes will be interred with his wife's at Black Cemetery,  Muncie, Indiana.

Preferred memorials are to ViaQuest Hospice - Marysville, or Shiloh Friends Church.
