Wanda Lou Lockhart, 80, passed away at 8:05 p.m., Thursday at her home - Van Wert Manor Nursing Home. God made her a special person and she fulfilled His plan. She was born on January 28, 1937, in Liberty Township, the daughter of the late Dale Edmond and Rhea Idella (Ault) Lockhart. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmie A. Lockhart and a sister-in-law, Joan Lockhart. Family survivors include two sisters, Betty J. (Walter L.) Cox and Vicky Clifton all of Ohio City; two brothers, Gary L. (Kat) Lockhart of Chandlersville, Ohio and Ricky D. (Dorothy) Lockhart of Westerville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Wanda attended Thomas Edison Center since 1970 to just a couple weeks prior to her death. She was known to many people by her smiles, warm hugs and kisses. Services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are 10 a.m., until time of service on Tuesday. Preferred memorial are to the Thomas Edison Center. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded at cowanfuneralhome.com.
