Virginia Fay Sealscott, 89, of Van Wert, died at 4:19 a.m., Tuesday at the VanCrest Health Care Center. She was born on May 25, 1924 in Grover Hill, the daughter of the late Foy D. and Cleo E. (Sterns) Martin. On April 19, 1945, she married Doyle Morris Sealscott who also preceded her in death on April 3, 2009. Family survivors include her daughter, Donna Marie (Gary) Allen of Colonial Heights, VA; two sons, Robert Kent (Teresa) Sealscott of Crown Point, IN and J. Richard (Deb) Sealscott of Van Wert; one sister, Helen Stahl of Ft. Myers, FL; seven grandchildren, Karen Marie Richardson of Colonial Heights, VA, Scott Douglas Allen of Petersburg, VA, Katharine Sealscott of Chicago, IL, Amanda (Robert) Rodenburg of Chicago, IL, Emily (Ryan) Holliday of Hilliard, OH, Adam Sealscott of Nashville, TN and Steven (Whitney) Sealscott of Van Wert, OH; six grandchildren Amethyst M. Richardson, Morgan Rodenburg, Addison Sealscott Nicolai, Whitney Holliday, Van Rodenburg, and Wesley Holliday; and a nephew Jeffery Stahl and his family of Ft. Myers, FL. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Kenneth Sealscott and a niece, Tina Stahl Buchannan. Virginia was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Van Wert. She was also a member of Van Wert Chapter #48, Order of the Eastern Star and the Van Wert Women's Club. She and Doyle had enjoyed many winters in Florida prior to his death. Services will be at 12 noon, Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday 10 a.m. until time of service.
