Vicie Lin Mounts of Van Wert went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 10:35 p.m., after a brief illness of cancer and a powerful fight against it. She was born on April 18, 1959 in Decatur, Indiana, to the late Victor and Mary (Shinn) Lautzenheiser. On March 6, 1990, she married her high school sweetheart Michael D. Mounts. He survives in Van Wert. She is also survived by her two daughters Dennise Ann Young of Payne, Ohio and Jennifer Lin Nagel of Van Wert; a son Michael Leonard Mounts of Angola, IN; and an exchange student, Leticia Do Amaral Richter from Brazil who the family all loved and Vicie also thought of and loved as a daughter. Also four beautiful grandchildren, Olivia Young, Makenna Nagel, Payton Nagel and Landon Nagel; two brothers, Ronnie (Margaret) Lautzenheiser of Convoy, Ohio and Roy (Doris) Lautzenheiser of Rockford, Ohio; two sisters, Joyce (Dave) Amstutz of Plano, Texas and Lana Lautzenheiser of Van Wert; and her in-laws James & Carol Mounts of Van Wert. She was proceeded in death by sisters, Beverly Linnemeyer, Bonnie Couts, Janet McConn and Emma Ross; a brother, James Lautzenheiser; a nephew, Nathan McConn; and a niece Amy Ross. Vicie was employed at VanCrest Health Care Center, which she considered her second home, for 22 years as a CNA and Nurse. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Cowan and Son Funeral Home, Van Wert with Pastor Randy Bevington officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City. Viewing hours will be at Cowan and Son Funeral Home on Friday from 2-8 p.m. Preferred memorials are to her family.
