Thomas Thad Wollet, 78, of Van Wert, passed away on, Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Lutheran Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born September 12, 1948 in Van Wert to the late Waldo “Peg” Wollet and Ferne A. (Auble) Wollet.

Thomas was a graduate of high school and went on to serve his country in the United States Army as an auto repair parts specialist. His military service was an important part of his life and reflected his steady and practical nature.

Thomas is survived by his son, Jeremy Wollet of Coldwater, and Jeremy’s wife, Janelle. He is also survived by his brothers, James Wollet of Convoy and James’s wife, Marjorie, and Timothy Wollet of Van Wert and Timothy’s wife, Janet. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Gloria Wood. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Reid Wollet, and by his brother, Jay Wollet.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
