Terry Lee Rickard, 63 of Grover Hill, died 10:02 p.m., Tuesday July 19, 2016 at the C.H.P.-Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio. He was born on December 15, 1952 in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of the late Glenn Myrle Rickard and Ethel (O'Daffer) Taylor. Terry was a truck driver for Roeder Cartage Company, Inc in Lima, Ohio. He was a 1971 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School. He enjoyed traveling, reading, sports, the news, grand kids and family and was the best brother ever. He is survived by his son, R. Andrew Rickard and his children Elijah & Ellyona Rickard of Grover Hill; daughter Patricia (Jim) Jenkins and their children, Parker & Dawson Jenkins of Maricopa, Arizona; brother, Donald (Darlene) Rickard of Pleasanton, California; sisters, Shirley Ann Clark of Ohio City, Bonnie (John) Shaffer of Van Wert, Sandra (Richard) Shrank of Bristow, Virginia, Phyllis (Phil) Etzler of Convoy, and Debbie Hire of Van Wert; and many nieces & nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Dean Rickard and brother-in-law, Bobbie Jack Clark. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 22, 4-7 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, Ohio. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 23. 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Don Clinger with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Interment is at Tomlinson Cemetery in Union Township, Mercer County, Ohio. Memorial contributions to the C.H.P.-Inpatient Hospice Center.
