Susan Joan Leiendecker, 57, of Venedocia, died at 5:43 p.m., Tuesday at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was Born on October 27, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Robert Arthur Bridgman and Joan (Cusmano) Van Metre. She was formerly married to Thomas L. Leiendecker of Ohio City. Family survivors include her four daughters, Brandy Leiber of Fort Lauderdale, FL and her two children Lexi Leiber and Preston Phillips, Audrey Houser of Van Wert, Ohio and her three children, Cody Houser, Libby Houser, Cloey Spry, Melissa (Kenton Frecker) Leiendecker of Fort Wayne, and Eva Leiendecker of Van Wert and her three children Skylar Imler, Mason Leiendecker and Eliza Leiendecker; one son, James L. Leiendecker of Venedocia; two brothers, Kenneth Bridgman of Van Wert and Gordon Scott (Cindy) Van Metre of Cleveland; one sister, Deborah (Jack) Harmon of Russville, Indiana; six nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Karen D. Bridgman. Susan was a social butterfly and loved being surrounded by friends and family. She was loved by many and known as "Momma Sue" by all. She enjoyed arrowhead hunting, the outdoors and especially her many plants. She was a member of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home. Calling hours are Friday 2 - 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Preferred memorials are to the Family.
