Stella Jane (Siders) Stevens, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 20, 1944, to the late Clayton H. and Mildred M. (Fox) Siders. She married David James Stevens on July 21, 1962 and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2014. She is survived by her children, James Clayton (Elizabeth) Stevens and Tammy Kay Stevens all of Van Wert; six grandchildren, Tasha N. (Jonathon) Mattix of Van Wert, Joshua J. Stevens of Burnsville, Minnesota, Jeremy D. Stevens of Bessemer, Alabama, Kevina (Paul) Beam of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, Justin Currie of Coraopolic, Pennsylvania, and Cody Stevens of Van Wert; three great grandchildren, Layla Stevens of Minnesota, Jaydyn Stevens of Alabama and Melody Mattix of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; two brothers, Kenneth C. Siders of Van Wert and Emmitt (Cheryl) Gehres of Van Wert; and two sisters, Sheena J. Outland of Marion, Ohio and Carolyn Nimtz of Ft. Wayne. She had two other children she considered grandkids, Jayda Vibbert and Dominick Mergy. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Denny Siders. Stella enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Van Wert. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2018, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Custis officiating. Interment will follow at Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 - 5 p.m., Sunday. Preferred memorials are to the Family.
