Sharon Rose Case Knoll, 75, of Van Wert, went to be with her Lord at 8:03 a.m., Wednesday at the VanCrest Health Care Center, Van Wert. She was born on February 13, 1940, in Berne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Joyce Ray and Velma Marie (Pontius) Case. On May 11, 1962, she married William Franklin "Bill" Knoll who preceded her in death on July 7, 1998. Family survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Lisa Knoll of Van Wert; a sister, Barbara Sue (Gerald) Williams of Van Wert; and two step-grandsons, Gabriel and Brayden Evans. Sharon was a 1958 graduate of Van Wert High School and a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Van Wert. She was a homemaker and had worked up to 1966 at the Van Wert Times-Bulletin as a teletype operator. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday 4 - 8 p.m., and one hour prior to services on Friday. Preferred memorials are to the Van Wert Hospice.
