Sandra Sue Goodenough, 71, of Union Township, passed away at 5:09 a.m., Thursday at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1946, in Van Wert, the daughter of late Clarence and Catherine (Stripe) Conley. On October 17, 1964, she married Dana Goodenough and he survives. Other family members include her son, Brian (Kristin) Goodenough of McKinney, Texas; three grandchildren, Zachary, Alex Quinn, and McKenzie Rose; three sisters, Karen Goins of Van Wert, Bobbie (Dana) Smith of Van Wert, and Betty (Dave) Sidenbender of Hicksville, Ohio; a nephew Blake Dolt; and several other nieces and nephews. Sandra was a 1964 graduate of Van Wert High School and attended LifeHouse Church where she was an active volunteer. She retired from Teleflex Corp., in 1999 where she had worked for 30 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Post 178, Van Wert. She enjoyed quilting, camping and fishing and she was a long-time care giver for Betty Owens. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Braun of LifeHouse Church officiating. Interment will follow at Scott Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 6 - 8 p.m., and one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Preferred memorials are to LifeHouse Church or the American Cancer Society.
