Ruth Marie Brunni, 100 of Fort Wayne, Indiana died at 2:25 p.m., Monday August 8, 2016 at the Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on March 31, 1916 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, the daughter of the late Raymond Clayton and Vera Catherine (Coats) Boyer. On October 26, 1989, she married Orval Reed Brunni, who preceded her in death on June 24, 2008. Ruth was a retired executive secretary from Phelps Dodge in Fort Wayne with 20 years. She attended First Baptist Church in Fort Wayne; she was a graduate of Beardstown High School in Beardstown, IL and a graduate of International Business College in Fort Wayne. Family survivors include her two sons, David (Sally) Knorr of Duluth, MN. and James (Cindee) Porter of Media, PA; daughter-in-law, Carol Knorr of La Crosse, WI.; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, George Knorr; and three brothers, David, Donald, & Richard Boyer.
