Rosario S. German, 64, of Convoy, died at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on November 12, 1950 in Negros, Philippine Islands, the daughter of the late Mathias and Juana (Martinez) Sermagno. On June 10, 1975, she married Joseph R. German, Jr, who survives. Rosario retired as a seamstress from KAM Manufacturing in Van Wert, and was a member of the First United Brethren Church in Van Wert. Other family survivors include her three daughters, Shanette (Damon) Eddins of Van Wert, Rosette German of Van Wert, and Melissa (Mario) Cerna of Kettering, Ohio; five grandchildren, Deshaun Eddins, Sharayah Eddins, Kaleb Groover, Matthew Harvanek, and Isaac Cerna; and also six brothers and sisters in the Philippine Islands. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grand-daughter, Shanesa Eddins; and one brother. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 10:30 a.m., at the First United Brethren Church in Van Wert, with Pastor Jody Harr officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 13, 2-7 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Interment is at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, Ohio.
