Ronald D. Hartman, 72 of Van Wert, died at 1:15 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Van Wert County Hospital. He was born on January 9, 1943 in Van Wert County, Ohio, the son of the late Robert L. and Goldie Geraldine (Woods) Hartman, Sr. On February 18, 1968, he married Delores A. (Germann) Hartman, who survives in Van Wert. Ronald was a owner, horse trainer, and driver for 42 years in Van Wert and worked for 13 years for the City of Van Wert. He was a 1962 graduate of Van Wert High School. He is survived by his wife, Delores; sister, Roberta (David) Mohler of Richwood, Ohio; two brother-in-laws, sister-in-law, and several nieces and nephews and extended family also survive. Preceding him in death are two brothers, Robert L. Hartman, Jr. and David Hartman. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 30, 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, officiating is Pastor Timothy Simms of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. Visitation is one hour ahead of the services. Burial is at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, Ohio. Preferred memorial are to the American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation or Donor's Choice.
