Roger Lee Wagner, 75, of Van Wert, died at 12:28 a.m., Sunday at the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born on December 21, 1938, in Delphos, the son of the late George and Lucille (Kershner) Wagner. On August 30, 1958, he married the former Alberta Agnes Huber who died on June 1, 2007. He then married Rosemary (Davis) Wagner who survives in Van Wert. Other family members include two daughters, Laura (Mike) Biro of Van Wert and Amy (Steve) Harpster of Waynesfield; a son, Robert Wagner of Van Wert; ten grandchildren, Whitney, Quincy, Kelsey Wagner, Travis Neiferd, Kayla Thatcher, Caci Murphy, Michael Biro, Derek Biro, Wayne Harpster, Stephanie Harpster: and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann Kesler; two brothers, Don and Elmer Wagner; and two sisters, Betty Allen and Patti Ann Wagner Roger was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Apostolic Church in Van Wert. He had retired from Kennedy Manufacturing. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the Apostolic Church with Pastor Robert Frake officiating. There will be calling one hour prior to the service at the Church. Preferred memorials are to the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center or the Apostolic Church.
