Roberta L. Thomas, 66 of Van Wert, died at 12:46 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. She was born on November 5, 1950 in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of the late David Balyeat and Dolores (Johns) Balyeat who survives in Convoy, Ohio. She married, Gary Thomas, who survives. Robert was a homemaker and a 1969 graduate of Van Wert High School. She is survived by her two sons, Andrew Thomas and Brad Thomas; a brother, Louis (Martha) Balyeat; two sisters, Dyann Balyeat Ricica and Annette Balyeat; and two grandchildren, Gage Thomas and Kiersten Thomas. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Balyeat. There will be not be any public visitation or services. Preferred memorials may be made to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Race to Erase MS Foundation.
