Robert Allen Sharp, 88, of Van Wert passed away Thursday morning, January 23, 2025, at the Van Wert Manor Nursing Home of Van Wert.

He was born on November 11, 1936, in Harlan County, Kentucky the son of the late John Sharp and Ruth (Ford) Sharp. His wife, Gail E. (McNamara) Sharp, preceded him in death on May 25, 2020.

Surviving are two sons, Harry Lee Sharp of LaSalle, Michigan and Robert Allen Sharp II of Toledo, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jeremy Lee Sharp and Harry Lee Sharp, Jr.; two step-children, Michael Curtis Lindeman of Monroe, Michigan and John Lindeman of South Lyon, Michigan; two step-grandchildren, Chris Lindeman, and Cathryn (Lindeman) Bajorek and longtime friends who are like family, Kevin & Katy Maag Family, Rodney & Candy Smith and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-son, Steven Hulett.

Robert worked at the former Chrysler Corp-Amplex Division in Van Wert as the plant manager.

A graveside service will be held in his honor on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park Cemetery, 35667 Eight Mile W, Livonia, Michigan with speaker Brian Russ officiating.
