Robert Eugene Mosier, 79, of York Township, died at 6:45 p.m., Saturday at the VanCrest Health Care Center in Van Wert. He was born on May 24, 1934, in Paulding, the son of the late Clay Estel Mosier and Ada (Marsh) Mosier MacAdow. On September 28, 1957, he married the former Jo Louise Zeigler who survives. Other family members include a daughter, Cathy J. (Kent) Kundert of Ohio City; a son, Clint E. (Amy) Mosier of Ohio City; two brothers, Glen (Ellen) Mosier of Ohio City and Paul (Dayna) Mosier of Bradenton, Florida; two grandchildren, Cameran Kundert and Kurt (Danielle) Kundert; and three great grandchildren, Kale, Karson, and Katie Kundert. Bob had operated Mosier Car Wash at the corer of South Shannon St. and Ervin Road for many years. He then was co-owner of Westwood Car Wash in Van Wert, Celina and Auburn, IN, and also farmed for many years. He was a 1952 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and member of Kingsley United Methodist Church in York Township. He was also member of Eureka Lodge No. 592, F. & A.M., the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge in Van Wert. He loved gardening and his flowers. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Kingsley United Methodist Church with Pastors Randy Bevington and Tony Perry officiating. Calling hours are Tuesday 3 - 7 p.m., at Cowan & Son Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held there at 7 p.m., Tuesday. Preferred memorials are to the Community Health Professionals Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
