Ricky Dean Stemen, 53, of Van Wert, died at 10 a.m., Friday at his residence. He was born on July 18, 1963, in Van Wert, the son of the late Dean and Judy Stemen of Middle Point. Surviving are a daughter, Regan Elaine Stemen of Lancaster, Ohio; a son, Nicholas Dean Stemen of Lancaster; a granddaughter, Rylenn Jones of Lancaster; and a brother, David Stemen of Rockford. Ricky was a 1981 graduate of Lincolnview High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed at Van-A-Matic in Delphos. He was a member of American Legion Post 178, Van Wert. He was an avid Indy racing fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2017, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with military rites to follow conducted by the combined honor guard of the American Legion and V.F.W. Posts of Van Wert. There will be calling hours 4 - 8 p.m., Thursday, also at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the Family.
