Richard Joseph Baird, 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at VanCrest Health Care Center of Van Wert.

He was born on July 13, 1944, in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of the late Richard Thomas Baird and Francis Josephine (Vaske) Baird.  He married Pamela L. (Wright) Baird and she preceded him in death on February 24, 2018.

Richard is survived by his brother, Lawrence J. (Elaine) Baird of Van Wert; a sister-in-law, Carol J. Baird of Van Wert; a special friend, Sheryl L. Tope of Van Wert and many nieces and nephews.

He was a 1964 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School and worked and retired from Aeroquip.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister, Colleen Mayes; two brothers, James Richard Baird and Robert Lee Baird.

Private family services will take place at a later date. Interment will take place at Scott Cemetery, Scott, Ohio.
