Phyllis Margaret Rosendahl, 88, of Van Wert, died at 12:45 p.m., Friday at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born on July 15, 1925, in Ridge Township, the daughter of the late Floyd William and Emma (Railing) Shaw. On February 5, 1949, she married Harold Louis Rosendahl who survives. Other family members include a son, Allan E. Rosendahl of Van Wert; a daughter, Cathleen Edgell of Bluffton, IN; a brother, Harold Shaw of Van Wert; a sister, Catherine Ellinger of Huber Heights; three grandchildren, Robert Rosendahl, Jessica (Jason) Francis and Andrea (Michael) Strong; and three great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Carl Shaw and a sister, Ruth Miller. Phyllis was a 1946 graduate of Van Wert High School. She was a homemaker and member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 and Tuesday, one hour prior to services. Preferred memorials are to the Council on Aging or Trinity Untied Methodist Church.
