Phyllis Ainsworth, 96, of Ohio City, passed away Saturday evening at the VanCrest Health Care Center in Van Wert. She was born on November 29, 1921, in Van Wert County the daughter of the late Ada Doyt and Nellie (Rice) Prichard. On December 15, 1938, she married John Fred Ainsworth and he he died on April 20, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Beth Seelig; and three brothers, Neil Prichard, William D. Prichard and Robert Roehm. Family survivors include two sons, Donald (Nancy) Ainsworth of Wapakoneta and Mike (Connie) Ainsworth of Ohio City; two daughters, Dora (John H.) Hoffman of Ohio City and Barbara Mager of Danbury, Texas; one brother, Doyt (Jeannette) Prichard of Spencereville, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and sixteen great great grandchildren. Phyllis was a graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Ohio City. She had worked at Universal Lettering and at Merrill Good Associates. There will be private services at the convenience of the family. Preferred memorials are to St. Johns Lutheran Church, PO Box 189, Ohio City, OH 45874.
