Obituary

Pauline R. Kundert Gamble, 95, of Van Wert went to her heavenly home, at 6:55 p.m., February 11, 2014, at the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center, with many of her family members present. She was born on September 24, 1918 to James Artie and Gladys Ethel (Hebb) Keysor who preceded her in death. She was married to Forrest A. Kundert on August 2, 1936, who preceded her in death on March 24, 1989. She then married Galen E. Gamble who died on August 7, 2012. Pauline worked for a time at Montgomery Ward and then at the J.C. Penney store in Van Wert -many of those years in the catalog department from which she retired. She was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church and the women's circle. She was also a member of the Van Wert County Hospital Lady Board of Managers, the Friendship Euchre Club and a Pinochle club. She was the mother of two children, Kenneth A. Kundert who preceded her in death in September of 2013 and Shirley Ann Kundert Welker (Richard) Bolton surviving of Elgin. Other family members include a daughter-in-law, Connie Lou (Foster) Kundert of Van Wert; two stepdaughters, Gayetta (James) Hogan of Celina and Barbara Anderson of North Carolina; eleven grandchildren, Kent (Cathy) Kundert, Keith (Julie) Kundert, Kevin (Brenda) Welker, Debbie (Rex) Bragg, and Karen (Roger) Rank all of Van Wert County, Greg (Tabitha) Bolton, Brad (Rachel) Bolton, both of Mercer County, Treavor (Gabriella) Anderson, Stacie (David) McGray, Christin (Alan) Hunter all of North Carolina, and Martina Hogan of Illinois; fifteen great grandchildren, Becki (JR) Mollenkopf, Tyler (Beckie) Holdgreve, Cameran Kundert, Kurt (Danielle) Kundert, Rheannon (Jeff) Fetters, Nathan Schaefer, Misty (Scott) Marshall, Kristopher (Erica) Lytle, Holly (Dan) Metzger, Trey (Heather) Bragg, Kaleb Rank, Ethan Rife, Shay Bolton, Riley Bolton, and Alivia Bolton; fourteen great great grandchildren, Brynn and Kaylee Mollenkopf, Lilly and Lyla Holdgreve, Addison Marshall, Adelyn, Renee and Emilia Metzger, Jayden and Shepard Bragg, Carolina Lytle, Kale, Katie and Karson Kundert. She is also survived by a brother Donald (Betty) Keysor of California and two sisters-in-law, Dolores Keysor and Arlene Keysor. Four brothers preceded her in death, Wayne E. Keysor, Dale L. Keysor, Kenneth L. Keysor, and Harold L. Keysor. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at St. Marks Lutheran Church with the Rev. William C. Haggis, II, officiating. Interment will follow at Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township. Calling hours are Friday 2 - 8 p.m., at Cowan & Son Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the Church. Preferred memorials are to the CHP Inpatient Hospice center or St. Marks Lutheran Church.
