Obituary

Pamela K. Rosendahl of Van Wert and formerly of Atlanta, went to her heavenly home after a courageous battle with cancer, on May 7, 2016, at the Van Wert Manor. Pam was born on October 24, 1948, to Patricia L. Klewer of Van Wert and Richard Rosendahl of Yuma, AZ and they both survive. Other survivors are her sister, Kathy (Scott) Shellhammer; a brother, Ron Rosendahl; two nephews, Bryan Miller and Nathan Rosendahl; a niece, Aimee (Brian) Bassett; a great-nephew, Nick Miller; and a great-niece, Brooke Miller, all of Van Wert. Pam was preceded in death by her stepfather, Rudy Klewer and a brother, Richard "Rick" Rosendahl. Pam was a 1966 graduate of Ohio City Liberty High School. Upon graduation, Pam joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War era. She was employed at Van Wert County Waste Management. She had a tremendous love for her family and pets. Pam was always first with a smile and never stopped making everyone around her laugh. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Chicago Bears, Atlanta Braves and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Also, Pam always carried her Bible. She was a member of the American Legion Post #178, of Van Wert. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Van Wert American Legion Post on Thursday, May 12, 2016, from 1 - 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Van Wert County Humane Society.
