Norman Joseph Myers, 84 of Convoy, died Monday February 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born on June 30, 1932 in Tully Township, Van Wert County, Ohio, the son of the late Donald J. and Olive Evelyn (Foust) Myers. Norman retired from Navistar International in Indianapolis, Indiana; also had worked in his early years at Convoy Equity. He was a member of Sugar Ridge Church of God; having taught Sunday School for 59 years; and was a 1950 graduate of Union Township High School. He is survived by his sister, Anna (Jerry) Beougher of Convoy; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Merlin Wesley Myers and Kenneth D. Myers. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 9, 10:00 a.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, Ohio, officiated by Pastor Steve Waterman of Sugar Ridge Church of God. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 8, 5-7 p.m. and one hour ahead of the service. Burial is at Mohr Cemetery in Hoaglin Township, Van Wert County, Ohio.
