Nelle Haviland Dustman, of Van Wert died at 4:24 p.m., Sunday at the C.H.P.-Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio. She was born in Portland, Indiana, the daughter of the late Clyde S. and Lena B. (Buhler). On September 23, 1976, she married Ernest Dustman, who preceded her in death on May 23, 1992. She was a graduate of Bryant High School in Bryant, Indiana. Survivors include her niece; Helen Ashley of Muncie, Indiana; nephews, Bob Haviland of Youngstown, Ohio and Dave Chelgren of Minneapolis, Minn; Ernie's children, Thomas Dustman of Temecula, CA, Sue (David) Williams of Louisville, KY, Nancy Rowe of San Jose, CA, and Shirley (Jon) Chandler of Pawleys Island, SC; also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilbur and Paul Haviland; and sister, Mary Chelgren. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 30, 11:00 a.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Paul W. Miller. Interment is at Venedocia Cemetery in Venedocia, Ohio. Preferred memorials is C.H.P.-Inpatient Hospice Center.
