Naomi Jean Schriver Fickert, 86, of Ohio City, passed away at 2:25 a.m., Saturday at the Van Wert Manor Nursing Home. She was born on July 30, 1927, in Ottawa, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter and Monnettie (Kindle) Radabaugh. She married Robert Schriver who died in March of 1972. She then married Leroy Melvin Fickert on November 26, 1973, who also preceded her in death on February 21, 2012. Family survivors include her sons, Robert R. Schriver of Van Wert, Ronald L. (Tanya) Schriver of Van Wert, and Mike (Shawn) Fickert of Middle Point; one sister, Maxine C. Rode of Celina; six grandchildren, Jessica, Katie, and Andrew Fickert, Becky Jean Schriver, Robert Schriver, Jr., and Ronald Schriver, Jr.; and twelve great grandchildren. Besides her parents and two husbands, Naomi is preceded in death by a brother, Walter Radabuagh and a sister, Irene McMonigal. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Bingo. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January l1, 2014, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday prior to the funeral service. Preferred memorial are to the donor's choice.
