Michael L. Tierney, 64, of New Haven, died at 7 a.m. Thursday August 27, 2015 at Genesis Health Care New Haven. He was born April 9, 1951, in Van Wert, the son of Mary E. (Bates) Tierney of New Haven and the late James Arthur Tierney. Besides his mother, survivors include two uncles, Ray Bates and Tom (Barbara) Bates all of Van Wert; an aunt, Ruth Stone of Charlestown, New Hampshire; and several cousins. Mike was a graduate of New Haven High School and attended Maples United Methodist Church. He was a tool maker by trade and had worked at TD&M Tool Shop and Component Engineering. He then owned and operated his own machine shop - TNT Machine Shop. He liked fishing, music, traveling and making people smile. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2015, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 10 a.m. until time of service. Preferred memorials are to Genesis Care Center or Hospice of Ft. Wayne.
