Mary Elizabeth Keith, 92, of Van Wert, died at 12:45 p.m., Sunday at St. Ritas Medical Center in Lima. She was born on January 28, 1921, in Middlebury, the daughter of the late Henry William and Jessie Almina (Bolenbaugh) Hoffman. She married Milo Jacob Keith in June of 1957 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1986. Family survivors include her daughter, Connie (Don) Cowgill of Findlay; a son, Harold Chaney of Manitou Beach, MI; three step-children, Milo (Helen) Keith of New Knoxville, Mary Ellen White of New Bremen and Dave (Linda) Keith of Jefferson City, MO; one sister, Gladys Agler of Ohio City; one brother, Gaylord (Doris) Hoffman of Celina; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 26 step great grandchildren; and 3 step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald L. Chaney; 2 grandchildren; step-son Robert Keith; 1 step grandchild; and 1 step great grandchild. Mary was employed at Borden's Cheese in Van Wert retiring in 1957. She was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Van Wert and the Van Wert American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are 12 noon to time of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, Mary's wishes were that contributions be made to the donor's choice.
