Mary L. Huse, 83, of Van Wert, passed away at 10:09 a.m., Friday at the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born on September 20, 1930, in New Castle, Indiana, the daughter of the late Alva and Lethia (Bennett) Howard. On June 10, 1950, she married Don Huse who survives. Other family survivors include two sons, Rodney L. (Anita) Huse of Janesville, Wisconsin and Kevin (Lisa) Huse of Decatur, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Scott Huse, Brad Huse, Derrick Huse, Kristina Thomas, Jared Huse, Mandy Proffitt and Matthew Huse; twelve great grandchildren; and one brother, Robert (Mary Ann) Howard of New Castle. Mary was a member of Jennings Road Church of Christ Services will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2014, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Watts officiating. Calling hours are Monday 5 p.m. until time of service. Interment will take place at 11 a.m., Tuesday at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle. Preferred memorials are to the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center or the Alzheimer's Association.
