Mary Louise Donaldson, 88, formerly of Van Wert, passed away at 10:15 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Joyce Donaldson in Allen, Texas.

She was born on February 20, 1931, in Van Wert the daughter of the late William J. and Anna K. (Rose) Shook. On November 6, 1951, she married Lawrence A. Donaldson who preceded her in death on June 9, 2011. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Edith August and four brothers Wilber, Loyal, Clovis and Arthur Shook.

Family survivors include her two sons, Terry Lee (Shirley) Donaldson of Holiday, Florida and Mark Allen (Joyce) Donaldson of Allen, Texas; four grandchildren, Ben, Megan, Michelle and Michael; six great grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Natalie, Nathan, Sloane and Haven; and one sister Joan Gardner of Van Wert.

Mary was a graduate of Union High School and a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Holiday Inn in Van Wert.

Services will be held t 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Rev. William C. Haggis, III officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery in Union Township. Calling hours are 3 - 7 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
