Martha R. (Brown) Bowersock, 94, of Van Wert, died at 4:20 a.m., Tuesday at VanCrest Health Care Center. She was born on October 25, 1920, in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harry and Blanche (Michael) Brown. Family survivors include two daughters, Rosalie Beeson of California, and Patti (Ted) Baldwin of Van Wert; four sons, Sam (Janet) Scott of Van Wert, Frank (Denise) Scott of Van Wert, Mike (Sharon) Grubb of Decatur, IN, and Johnny Ray Bowersock of Van Wert; thirteen grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild and one great grandchild. Martha had attended First United Brethren Church and had retired from Conrad's Truck Stop near Van Wert. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015, at First United Brethren in Christ Church, Frothingham and Race Streets, with Pastor Jody Harr officiating. There will be calling hour prior to the service also at the Church. Preferred memorials are to the Community Health Professionals Hospice.
