Marjorie J. Brown, 93 of Ohio City, died at 8:17 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2018, at the Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford, Ohio. She was born on March 9, 1925 in Liberty Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Cash McKinley and Hazel May (Yagle) Brown. Also preceding her in death were her step-mother, Florine (Gilbert) Brown; grandparents, Lewis Foster and Cora Mae Brown; a brother, Edwin Lowell Brown; and half-brothers, John William and Lewis Ernest Brown. Marjorie was a member of Ohio City United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and was a volunteer for the Bread & Bowl program. She was a 1943 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School. She had worked at Aeroquip and Kennedy Kit in Van Wert before moving to Chicago for a short time. She then moved to Florida for several years, before returning to the Ohio City area in 1984 to care for her father and step-mother. Grave side services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City. Preferred memorials are to the Ohio City United Methodist Church Women's Group.
