Marji Ann Long, 77, of Van Wert and formerly of Ohio City, passed away at 10:21 a.m., Monday at the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born on April 1, 1936, in Akron, the daughter of the late Orval Henry and Anna May (Callahan) Edwards. On June 2, 1956, she married Robert E. Long and he survives. Other family members are a daughter, Kay Wheeler of Van Wert; a son Mark (Stacie) Long of Van Wert; five grandchildren, Dustin and Nicholas Wheeler, Jason, Kylie and Cooper Long; and a great grand daughter, Aleah Long. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Edwards; a sister, Jeanne Bard; and a grand daughter, Nevaeh Ann Long. Marji was a 1954 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and a member of the Ohio City United Methodist Church. She retired from Findlay Industries in Ohio City in 1999. She was also a member of Van Wert Chapter #48, Order of the Eastern Star. A memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2013, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Paul W. Miller and Pastor Kevin Wilcox officiating. Calling hours are Thursday 2 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the Ohio City United Methodist Church or the Inpatient Hospice Center.
