Lola Marie Woods, 90, of Convoy, died at 3:49 p.m., Sunday at the Hospice Home of Fort Wayne. She was born on January 1, 1923, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Walter and Emma (Kiehl) Schaadt. On June 16, 1945, she married Charlie James Woods who preceded her in death on August 20, 2009. Also preceding her in death are a grandson, Jason Woods; three brothers, Romy W., Norman and Ervin Lee Schaadt; and a sister, Virginia L. LeValley. Family survivors include two sons, Don E. Woods of Convoy and Bruce Woods of New Haven, Indiana; a daughter, Linda Boucher of Ellijay, Georgia; four grandchildren, Steve Woods, Shawn Woods, Shelly Scott and Greg Boucher; two sisters, Pauline McGarvey and Fern (Harold W.) Miller all of Van Wert; a brother, Dale (Ruth) Schaadt of rural Ohio City; four great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. Mrs. Woods was a member of Convoy United Methodist Church. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2013, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Gregory Leigh officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery.
