Lee Bigham, Jr., 84, of rural Van Wert, died at 7:48 a.m., Monday at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born on September 4, 1928, near Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Lee and Gladys (Warford) Bigham. On September 4, 1949, the married the former Patricia L. Seekings who survives. Other family members include two sons, Paul R. (Elrhea) Bigham of Van Wert and Jay Bigham of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Ann Gardner of California; one brother, Dave (Connie) Bigham of Rockford, Ohio; and three sisters, Genevieve (Wayne) Timbrook of Hicksville, Bonnie Bigham of Syracuse, NY, and Sylvia Belle Martin of Van Wert. He was preceded in death by a son, Laurence; two brothers, Wesley Bigham and Roger Lee Bigham; and two sisters, Margie Hurless and Rosalind Todd. Lee was a 1946 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and retired from International Harvester in Fort Wayne. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2013, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Carol Evans of Countryside Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are noon until time of service Friday.
