Lanny K. Clem, 75 of Sand Lake, Michigan, died at 4:49 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Summit City Nursing Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on January 9, 1942 in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of the late Marlin L. and Lenore Eileen "Nonie" (Black) Clem. Lanny retired from International Harvester in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a veteran of U.S. Marine Corp. He is survived by his girlfriend of twenty-six years, Diane Ferris of Sand Lake, Michigan; two daughters, Jennifer K. (Gregory) Zink and Stacy (Luke) Landis, both of Fort Wayne; brother, Jack R. Clem of Dixon; seven grandchildren, Lila Landis, Ki Landis, Mason Landis, Hadlee Landis, Kalynn Clem, Chase Zink, & Reagan Zink all of Fort Wayne; nieces, Jodi Poulson of Antwerp, Kara Dirham of Convoy, Nina Taylor of Flint, Michigan, and JoAnn Clem of Decatur, Indiana; and nephew, David Clem of Dixon. He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Clem; and sister, Jill Harris. A celebration of life for Lanny is scheduled for Friday, December 1 at 4 to 8 p.m.the American Legion Post #47 at 601 Reed Road in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Food and drink will be available at menu prices. Private burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Convoy, Ohio. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
