Keith W. Robertshaw, 60 of Van Wert, died at 12:19 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015, after a courageous four-year battle with melanoma at the Community Health Professional Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert. He was born on May 12, 1955 in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, the son of Shirley (Hallock) Robertshaw who survives in Woodstock, and the late George Robertshaw. In May of 1986, he married the former Charlene German, who preceded him in death in March 2002. On November 21, 2009, he married the former Rosemary Brown, who survives at the residence. Keith was a mechanic/welder at E&R Trailer Sales and Service for 29 years. He was a avid camper, golfer, and outdoors man. He enjoyed camping at Huggy Bear Camp Ground and NASCAR racing. Family survivors include his wife, Rosemary; four daughters, Lacy (Mark) Bruns of Rockford, Ohio, Heather (Lynn) Whitaker of Van Wert, Ashley (Sam) Mathews of Fort Wayne, and Karri (Cody) Fife of Van Wert; two step-children, Matthew Beitler of Van Wert and Jenny (Jim) Neal of Sarasota, Florida; two brothers, Ken (Linda) Robertshaw and Allan (Vickey) Robertshaw, both of Woodstock, Ontario; two sisters, Judy (Joe) Giroldi of Woodstock, and Cathy (Rick) Merkley of Straffordville, Ontario; a brother-in-law, Mark Larocque of Woodstock; sixteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Larocque. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, 10:30 a.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Heilshorn of Trinity Friends Church officiating. Visitation is Tuesday 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to the C.H.P. Visiting Nurses and Hospice.
