Joyce A. Poling, 78, of Union Township, passed away at 12:48 p.m., Tuesday at the Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on July 24, 1934, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of the late Emanuel R. And Julia Juanita (Montgomery) Friedly. On July 29, 1951, she married Duane A. "Corky" Poling who survives. Other family members include, four children, Joann K. (Stephen) Feasby of Convoy, Janette C. (Timothy) Boone of Cincinnati, David D. (Shala) Poling of Cincinnati, and Douglas E. (Patti) Poling of Convoy; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a great grandchild. Joyce was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Convoy where he was member of the Fidelitis Guild, a former church organist and played church volleyball. She was a member of the Van Wert Amateur Radio Club and a swimming instructor at the Van Wert Y.W.C.A. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Rita Bair officiating. Burial will follow at Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 - 7 p.m., Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the Church. Preferred memorials are to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
