Jerry D. Roy Jerome, 87, of Van Wert passed away at 3:05 p.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the Fort Wayne VA Medical Center.

He was born on August 13, 1934, in Van Wert the son of the late Kenneth Jerome and Anna O. (Waldron) Leiter. He was also preceded in death by his step parents, Evelyn Jerome and Leroy Leiter.

Family survivors include his children, Lisa G. (Bruce) Diment of Van Wert and Kevin Jerome of Venedocia; four grandchildren, Katie (Paul) Barton, Jeremy Hanicq, Dustin (Ashley) Jewell and Tiffany (Andy) Sidle; one brother, Newton Jerome of Omer, Michigan; two sisters, Linda (Larry) Robeson of Van Wert and Jill (Don) Amweg of Sebring, Florida; four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and his significant other, Fran Mills.

Jerry was preceded in death by two brothers; Jackie Wayne Jerome and Kenneth "Bill" Jerome; one sister, Patty (Jerome) Noirut.

Jerry graduated from Crestview High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
