James D. Ullinskey, 62, of Van Wert passed away at 10 a.m., Tuesday May 26, 2020, at Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on July 15, 1957, in Lima, Ohio the son of the late Carl and Shirley (Frisinger) Ullinskey. On April 19, 1980, he married the former Cindy Gile who survives.

Other family members include his five children, Toby (Cyndi) Gile of Ohio City, Josh (Bethany) Gile, Nicole (Antonio) Foster, Steven Ullinskey and Brandy Ullinskey all of Van Wert; fourteen grandchildren. Zoe, Jacob, Alex, Madison, Joseph, James, Zander, Zane, Miranda, Mia, Allison, Emma, Christian, and Blake; two brothers, Dennis Ullinskey and Jeff Ullinskey both of Defiance; four sisters, Carla Sharman (Skip Little) of Defiance, Peggy (Ron) Caillouet of Auburn, Indiana, Gail (Danny) Grimes of Defiance and Sheila Creeden of Sanoita, Arizona; uncles John Ullinskey of Westchester, Illinois and Paul (Joan) Ullinskey of Defiance; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Ullinsky and a nephew, Jeremy "Buddy" Sharman.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and had worked at S&K Hand Tools in Defiance.

There will be calling hours 1 - 2 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. A committal service will be held at 2:15 p.m., at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery where military rites will be held for Mr. Ullinskey.
