James Dean Krick, 66, of Van Wert passed away Thursday, April 9, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on November 9, 1958, in Van Wert, the son of the late Ronald E. Krick and Rosella (Amweg) Krick.

Family survivors include his two daughters, Deanna Krick of Delphos and Danielle (DJ) Cockerell of Elida; five grandchildren, Thia, Aldon, Lennon, Mila and Evren Cockerell; three brothers, Tony (Deb) Krick of Van Wert, Darryl (Cheryl) Krick of Convoy and Kevin Krick of Van Wert.

Dean was part of the Convoy Fox Hunters Club and loved fishing whenever he got the chance. He enjoyed spending his time volunteering at the VFW. He loved being a grandpa and spending time with his grandkids. Dean was a lifetime Buckeyes fan.

Per Dean's wishes, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be planned in the weeks to come and information will be shared via social media and at the VFW in Van Wert.
