James Edward Busbey, Sr., 86 of Van Wert, died at 12:17 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the C.H.P.- Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio. He was born on May 19, 1932 in Tupelo, Mississippi, the son of the late Robert and Esther (Spencer) Busbey. He married Leona Busbey, who preceded him in death on June 30, 2004. James was a Army veteran of the Korean War. Family survivors include his five children, James Edward Busbey, Jr. of Fort Wayne, Judy (Mike) Snyder of Harlan, Indiana, Jarris (Alan) Huck of Worden, Montana, Jack Busbey of Van Wert, and Jawonia Chrisman of Kansas City, Mo; twelve grandchildren, James Mohr, Jeremy Busbey, Jalisha Busbey, Jamie Boroff, Craig Snyder, Trish Tucker, Heather Brenner, Danny Hammons, Travis Hammons, Amanda Perdue, Brandon Busbey, and Kevin Chrisman; 41 great - grandchildren, and 2 great- great grandchildren. A celebration of life services will be held at a later date.
