Idella Cook, 77 of Rockford, Ohio, died at 4:49 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford, Ohio. She was born in Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles and Fanny (Boman) Bowman. Idella had worked as a cook for Grandma Simmon Sandwich Shop in Wimauma, Florida. She is survived by a son, Charles M. Cook of Ohio City; two daughters, Wanda (Charles) Young of Ohio City and Vickie (Corey) Brown of Fort Lonesome, Florida; sister, Ola (Willie) Smith of Mt Airy, NC; seven grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Bowman and George Bowman. Memorial services are scheduled for Monday, November 27, 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Russell Young.
