H. Irene Rager, 87, of Van Wert, died at 2:41 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert. She was born August 11, 1925, in Tully Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Lester and Lorena Elizabeth (Fritz) Bell. On April 25, 1948, she married Lloyd E. Rager, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Gary (Debra) Rager of Van Wert; one daughter, Pamela Bricker of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother, Robert Bell of Van Wert; one sister, Mary Louise Kimpel of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. One brother Robert bell of Van Wert and one sister Mary Louise Kimpel of Fort Wayne, Indiana A brother, Clifford Eugene Bell; and one sister, Norma Berniece Brown, also preceded her in death. She was homemaker. She was member of Calvary Evangelical Church, Van Wert, where she was active in the church family including missions and the youth programs as well as a member of the Van Wert County Hospital TWIGS. Her love for her family will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 23, at Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, with Pastor W. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert. Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, February 22, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
