Hazel Alice Putman, 92, of Van Wert, died at 8:09 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert. She was born January 5, 1920, in Liberty Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Ira Dick and Eva Ann (Dibert) Wiseman. On April 9, 1944, she married Albert Reid Putman, who preceded her in death on July 21, 2002. Survivors include many nieces and nephews, including Anna and Bill Carr of Ohio City, who cared for her for many years; and good friends Amy and Jay Prichard and Wanda Baker, all of Van Wert. A brother, Hobert Ira Wiseman; and two sisters, Nellie Golden and Martha Helen Ainsworth, also preceded her in death. Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
